The Oneida County Veterans Service Office is moving to the northeast corner of the county courthouse.
The office had been located in the original rotunda section of the building.
Tammy Walters, the county’s veterans services officer, said the new space will provide better customer service and offer privacy when interviewing veterans – qualities lacking in the old space.
“You didn’t walk in and see a person right away, and I’m very big on customer service,” she said.
The new office will officially be open Monday, Jan. 13.
Walters said the county clerk’s office will expand into the old veterans service space.
