County denies Marshfield Clinic CUP application

Oneida County supervisor Billy Fried advocated for Marshfield Clinic’s conditional use permit application to pass, but was voted down, 3-2, by the planning and development committee on Wednesday, June 14.
Wednesday was D-Day, as in deliberation day, for the Oneida County Planning and Development Committee regarding a conditional use permit application for a 12-bed, $30 million hospital proposed by Marshfield Clinic.

The decision was nearly two months in the making, with the original public hearing taking place in April. (subscriber access)

Admin committee signs resolutions in preparation for upcoming board meeting
With the Oneida County Board of Supervisors scheduled to hold its June meeting next Tuesday, the county's administration committee signed several resolutions at its meeting Monday morning to be brought to the board for approval.

Stormy Sunday for the Lakeland area

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) provides a weekly update on road construction in north central Wisconsin, which includes: Adams, Green Lake, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marquette, Menominee, Oneida, Portage, Price, Shawano, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood counties.
