A man accused of stabbing his friend in an alcohol-fueled dispute in a western North Dakota man camp will be returned to Williams County from Wisconsin.
Ryan Neil Anderson, 32 was arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Vilas County on a warrant out of Williams County, N.D., for violating bond conditions. He is scheduled to make an appearance sometime soon in Vilas County Circuit Court. Officials in Williams County are making arrangements to bring him back to North Dakota.
Anderson is slated to stand trial in February for Class AA murder in the stabbing death of his friend, Christopher King, in March 2013, at a man camp between Ray and Tioga. The trial is scheduled to last nearly two weeks.
According to a statement from the Williams County Sheriff’s Department, Anderson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Sunday in Vilas County, and officials there contacted Detective Caleb Fry in Williams County about the matter. A warrant was issued for Anderson for violating his bond conditions in the murder case, and he was arrested Wednesday on that warrant.
Anderson was sentenced to 10 days in jail in November for driving under suspension while out on bond in the murder case. However, his $50,000 bond in the case remained unchanged.
