Vilas finance committee green lights loan for buses

Three buses from Atlas Bus Sales in Milwaukee, are already titled in the Vilas Oneida Transit Commissionís name and are insured, but have been sitting unused behind the commissionís office on Stevens Street in Rhinelander for some time now because they arenít paid for.

St. Germain considers May for possible community center vote
Up until this week, the St. Germain Town Board had planned a vote of the town's electors for April on whether or not to build a new community center.

After another presentation Monday from Melody Hamlin of Funktion Design Studio, in which she laid out in more detail the plans for a new, 15,100 square foot community center as well as a much better idea as to the cost to build it, the town board discussed financing for the nearly $4 million project and also the possibility of pushing the vote back to May.
