ADRC of Oneida County committee accepting applications

January 17, 2020

The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Oneida County Committee is accepting applications from interested Oneida County residents for one citizen vacancy. The ADRC Committee is appointed by the Oneida County Board of Supervisors and is the policy-making body for the ADRC of Oneida County department (formerly the Department on Aging).

The ADRC Committee represents Oneida County residents regarding programs and county policy for the ADRC department related to services for older adults and adults with disabilities. This nine-member committee (four elected county supervisors and five citizens) meets monthly to approve department financial and program reports, makes policy decisions and plans for future needs.

The vacant seat is for a citizen member specifically interested in representing Oneida County citizens ages 60 and older. Membership on the ADRC Committee requires attending a meeting in Rhinelander currently scheduled for 9 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Members receive a meeting stipend and mileage reimbursement to travel to the meetings.

Interested Oneida County residents should contact the ADRC of Oneida County to receive an application. Applications are due back to the Department on or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7. The ADRC Committee will review all applications and a candidate will be selected to recommend to the county board chair for official appointment.
