The Boulder Junction Lions Club will host its 4th annual Walleye Classic on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 on 14 Boulder Junction area lakes.
The tournament will begin with orientation at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Boulder Junction Community Center. Coffee and donuts will be served and anglers will pick up their registration materials for Saturday fishing, which is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday fishing continues from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the day will close with awards, raffle prizes and a fish fry at Headwaters Restaurant and Tavern. The cost to participate is $100 per two-person team which includes a great fish fry dinner.
This is a catch and release tournament. Awards will be given to the teams catching the most total inches of Walleye.
• 1st place, $300 per team
• 2nd place $200 per team
• 3rd place $150 per team.
Raffle tickets will also be available for some really great prizes which will be awarded at this dinner also. Top raffle prize is a St. Croix rod and reel Combo ($350 value); second place $100 Northern Highland Sports gift certificate, and third place is Mepps lures (retail value $50).

All of the proceeds will support the Boulder Junction Lions Club local programs.
