Boulder Junction Public Library receives $2,500 donation from Lions Club

April 24, 2020

The Boulder Junction Lion’s Club gave a generous donation of $2,500 to the Boulder Junction Public Library for the purchase of new materials for the visually challenged. The money will be used to expand the library’s audio books on compact disc and large print materials, which are enjoyed by patrons with visual impairment. These materials are quite expensive for the library, so it cannot afford to purchase enough to keep up with patron demand within the current operating budget.  The Lion’s Club donation will allow the library to expand these collections to satisfy more library patrons and fulfill a need in our community. Pictured, from left, are Lions Club board member John Ader, Lions Club president Bob Bertch, Library board president Ellen Murphy Blank, library director Cherie Sanderson, Lions Club board member Doug Dobes, and Lions Club treasurer Laura Bertch.
