Camp Fire Oneida Council presents babysitter certification classes

February 28, 2020

Help a child become a responsible and self-reliant babysitter by registering them in Camp Fire Oneida’s “I’m Taking Care” babysitting class.

This course prepares youth in fifth through eighth grade by teaching responsible behaviors, child care skills, first aid basics, safety and accident prevention, as well as fun and engaging kids activities. The goal is to teach local youth through a combination of mini lectures and hands on exercises to help them feel confident and responsible with their babysitting skills. This course is available to boys and girls ages 11 and up at $40 per child. Fees include a workbook, all supplies, lunch, and a certification card.

Class sizes are limited, so in order to guarantee a place in the course, a completed registration and $40 fee must be submitted to the Camp Fire office before attending the course. Register online at: www.campfireoneida.org.

Classes take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

• Rhinelander: Feb. 29 and May 9

• Eagle River: March 21

• Minocqua: April 4
