Start the holiday season in Boulder Junction at the 31st annual Christmas Walk on Friday, Nov. 29 and Christmas Kid’s Day on Saturday, Nov. 30. Come and experience the magic of the holiday season, at this truly spectacular small-town event.
Start the Christmas shopping at the Boulder Junction Lioness Craft Fair and Luncheon from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Later that afternoon, hop on a horse-drawn wagon ride through town. Wagon rides begin at 3 p.m. with pick-up on Hwy. M North. At 5 p.m., join for the lighting of the town and sing Christmas carols at the Veterans Memorial Triangle where the town tree is viewed. Enjoy an evening of shopping in beautiful Boulder Junction on a magical evening in the Northwoods; there are treats for everyone in the stores from 5 to 8 p.m. Take home Christmas goodies from the Friends of the Library Cookie Walk, at Acorn Lodge starting at 5 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride down Main Street at 6:15 p.m. and arrive around 6:30 p.m. for photos at Boulder Bear Motor Lodge on Hwy M. South. Bring a camera to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Christmas Kids Day
Bring the children back on Saturday to the Boulder Junction Community Center to enjoy a day just for them, Christmas Kids Day. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. is the Kids Shopping House. All children 4 to 10 years of age can purchase Christmas presents for their family. Mrs. Claus and her Christmas elves will be on hand to help children pick out and wrap their gifts, as no parents are allowed in the Shopping House. A sign-up sheet for shopping will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. While waiting to shop, various activity stations will be available. Craft a Christmas ornament, cookie making station, Ho Ho Ho Bingo and other activities all from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch with Santa will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
