Community Resource and Transition Night at LUHS on Dec. 16

The special education department at Lakeland Union High School, in conjunction with the County Communities on Transition (CCOT), will be hosting a Community Resource and Transition Night at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16 at the high school. 

Dinner will be served from 5 to 5:30 p.m. From 5:30 to 6 p.m., there will be presentations from different agencies on available services, after which agencies will be available to answer questions. 

LUHS will share its multi-tiered transition program (Project LIFE, WINGS, and Project SEARCH). Several community agencies will also be available to inform families of available resources. Agencies to be in attendance include Nicolet College, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), Forward Service, TMG-IRIS, Lakeland Care, Headwaters Inc., Human Service Center, Opportunity Development Center (ODC), Midstate Independent Living Choices, and Aging and Disabilities Resource Center (ADRC).
