Fried bid to cancel event for year gains no traction
An Oneida County committee approved Tuesday a large assembly permit for the annual Hodag Country Festival, giving organizers the green light to stage the iconic music festival, which starts July 9.
The vote by the county’s public safety committee was 4-1, with supervisor Billy Fried opposed. In the end, the permit supervisors approved included a 25-point safety plan that organizers must abide by and they had submitted themselves as an action plan.
