The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center invites all to the 40th annual Cranberry Fest, a fun filled family event for all ages with lots of activities to enjoy. Festival Grounds are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6. A free shuttle bus will be available on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout Eagle River to all the different activities. Shuttle busses run approximately every 20-30 minutes.
The weekend’s activities include family entertainment by Bill and Bonnie Stevens at the fairgrounds, a pancake breakfast, Cranberry Fest Beer and Wine Garden featuring local Cranberry beer and wine, the Christ Lutheran Church 2019 Berry Bog 5K Jog, and an arts and crafts show.
Activities downtown (Saturday only) include an antique market, farmers market, fresh cranberry and craisin sales, Lake Country Weaver and Fiber Artists show and sale, hot food and beverages, and a Cranberry Fest luncheon at the First Congregational Church.
Tours of a local cranberry marsh with wine tasting are also available. Reservations are requested and tours leave from the Eagle Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center at 201 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River through Sunday, Oct. 6. Tours are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
Note that pets are not allowed at the Vilas County Fairgrounds.
