Holiday school break activities
Enjoy a variety of activities during the holiday school break:
• Thursday, Dec. 26 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Maker Day. See what can be made out of the “stuff” on the maker cart.
• Friday, Dec. 27 at 4 p.m.: The Polar Express. Come punch your “ticket,” decorate a “train car,” and enjoy holiday goodies while watching this classic holiday movie. After the movie, a “train car parade” will make its way through the library. Wear pajamas if you’d like and bring pillows and blankets.
• Saturday, Dec. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m.: Tabletop Gametime. Bring the family to play board games and meet new friends. Board games will be provided, or bring your own.
• Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Party. Have fun with Minute-to-Win-it games, crafts, time capsules, and more! The library will host its very own “countdown” to the new year.
Wednesday morning StoryTime will continue every week at 10 a.m. until Dec. 18 (to resume after a short holiday break). Stop by to enjoy books, music, finger plays, flannel stories and more. StoryTime is for children ages 2-6 with their caregivers.
Wiggle, Giggle and Shake (formerly Music Garden), offers music and movement activities for preschoolers and their families. This program runs every Thursday at 10 a.m., with the exceptions of Nov. 28 and Dec. 26.
