District 3 U.P. Trapper’s Association banquet set for March 7

The U.P. Trappers of District 3 have announced the inaugural Fund Raising Banquet will take place at the Norway Fairgrounds on March 7. Doors open at 4 p.m. Central Time and the buffet dinner starts at 6 p.m. This event will be limited to 200 participants. Tickets are $50 for adults and $30 for those 17 and under.
Door prizes, including firearms along with lots of outdoor equipment will be given to many lucky winners. Mini raffles, and other giveaways will be included along with a delicious buffet dinner. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
Attendees of the first banquet will be on an invitation list for the next banquets and have first preference for future banquets.
“The association’s Mission is to preserve and protect the renewable resources and pass on the trapping heritage,” U.P. Trappers Dist. 3 president Roy Dahlgren said. “Educating the public (particularly the youngsters). Their educational endeavors include: Annual Trapper Workshop, booths at three fairs, subscriptions to Fur-Fish-Game magazine donated to 26 U.P. schools, along with as many positive public relations the association can create. All of these endeavors are done on a strictly voluntary basis. The public’s participation in this banquet will help to insure that all the efforts of U.P. Trappers of District 3 will continue. Come on in, have a good time, win a nice prize, enjoy good food and drinks along with camaraderie and you will be supporting a good outdoor activity and heritage.”
