The Evers administration has found ways to cut about $70 million from the state budget in the past month, the administration announced last week, but a Republican lawmaker says the percentage is less than half of what Gov. Tony Evers promised.
Overall, Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) secretary Joel Brennan said state agencies have identified $70 million in cost savings and budget reductions in state operations primarily funded through taxpayer dollars.
