Forest Frenzy Winter Triathlon returns to Boulder Junction on Feb. 15

November 28, 2019

Early-bird registration is now open for the third annual Forest Frenzy Winter Triathlon, which returns to Boulder Junction on Feb. 15, 2020.

Racers interested in entering the 2020 Forest Frenzy Winter Triathlon can save $10 off the normal individual registration price, or $15 off the price of a 3-person relay team registration, just by signing up before the end of this month. That means racers will pay just $65 per individual (reg. $75) or $155 per relay team (reg. $170) to take part in this exciting cross-country skiing/snowshoeing/fat tire biking triathlon in the snowy Northwoods of Wisconsin.

No special registration code is required for the discount, but the early-bird pricing ends on Nov. 30.

“For those who love winter sports, this is a great opportunity,” Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce director Theresa Smith said. “Not only do you get to play in the snow, but you get to do it in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest, which is breathtakingly beautiful in the winter. It’s a challenging course, but you just can’t beat the scenery.”

Boulder Junction’s Forest Frenzy Winter Triathlon is one of the only outdoor winter triathlons of its kind in the state of Wisconsin. The event consists of a 7.5-kilometer cross-country ski (classic or skate) course, a 5-kilometer snowshoe course and a 7.5-kilometer fat tire bike course.

The Forest Frenzy is staged at historic Camp Manito-wish YMCA, and the race takes place on the trails of the scenic Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest.
