Green Bay Packers Student Art Contest accepting submissions through July 12

Students grades 6 through college eligible to enter

July 07, 2020

Students are invited to share their artistic representation of “Packers Gameday Traditions” for the fourth annual Green Bay Packers Student Art Contest. Three finalists will have their artwork displayed at Lambeau Field for the duration of the upcoming season and will receive $5,000 for their respective school’s art programs, as well as the opportunity to cheer on the Packers at Lambeau Field at an upcoming home game.

One winner will be chosen from the following age categories: grades 6-8, grades 9-12, and university of technical college student.

Create an art piece showing favorite gameday rituals, traditions and celebrations. Emotions are high on gameday and filled with tradition. What do players and fans alike experience before, during and after the games? Intensity of preparation. Adrenaline of a crucial third-down play. The thrill of victory. The agony of defeat. How can art display these feelings, moments and traditions?

This theme of “Packers Gameday Traditions” could encompass many areas such as (but not limited to): fan traditions and rituals, how gameday is celebrated, camaraderie, feeling excited, team, fandom, and showing spirit.

Participants are eligible to enter photos of a single featured art piece through July 12. The potential winners will be notified by telephone or email. Winners will be announced in July at https://www.packers.com/fans/promotions.
