Howard Young Foundation launches COVID-19 emergency appeal

May 05, 2020

The Howard Young Foundation announced its new “Helping Our Hospitals and Heroes” COVID-19 emergency appeal starting on Giving Tuesday Now, a day of global giving on Tuesday, May 5. This fund will support Howard Young Medical Center, Ascension Eagle River Hospital and front-line health care heroes who are working tirelessly each day to provide excellent care and keep our community safe and healthy.

“We have had many questions from donors and community members about how they can help the hospital during these uncertain times,” Foundation president Erin Biertzer said. “The Howard Young Foundation is committed to supporting our hospitals and our frontline health care heroes as we have for over 35 years. We are supporting our hospitals by raising emergency funds to provide for the unprecedented impact they are experiencing.”

There are two ways to support the community through the Howard Young Foundation

• Make a gift. All who can should consider supporting hospitals and caregivers who are working tirelessly on the front lines to provide excellent care and keep the community healthy by making a gift online designated to “COVID-19 Help our Hospitals & Heroes” or mail a check made payable to: HYF-COVID, P.O. Box 470, Woodruff, Wisconsin 54568.

• Encourage a caregiver today. Share a message of thanks, inspiration, or encouragement with the frontline heroes who are working to keep the community healthy during this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis by commenting on the Howard Young Foundation Facebook page (facebook.

com/howardyoungfoundation) or mail [email protected] and it will be posted for you.
