On Oct. 8, Lakeland Area Genealogical Society (LAGS) will meet at 1 p.m. at the Minocqua Public Library. The speaker will be JR Swartz from Northern Computer Service in Woodruff. He will talk about computer storage, anti-virus issues and backing up your files. Since much of the group’s work involves using the computer, this should be a timely and welcome program.
LAGS is a group of local folks interested in discovering their family histories. Members have varied degrees of experience and expertise.
The group meets from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month (except July and August) usually at the Minocqua Public Library in the Susan and Roger Smith meeting room. There is a brief business meeting followed by a program of interest to the group. Visitors are always welcome.
