Voters in Wisconsin will be heading to the polls to cast votes in the spring election on April 7, so now is the time for all eligible voters to familiarize themselves with the candidates on the ballot. Voters in Vilas, Oneida, and Lincoln counties can find a personalized Voters’ Guide at www.vote411.org on or around March 16.
Local offices will include county board supervisors, town supervisors, city officials, and school board offices. The guide will also give a chance to familiarize with any advisory referendums. The Voters’ Guide will also include candidates for Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Circuit Court Judge in some areas, as well as the Presidential Preference Primary candidates.
Vote411.org is a League of Women Voters’ nationwide voter information resource created to provide voters with a personalized Voting Guide that includes up-to-date information needed to cast a ballot, including who’s on the ballot, how to vote absentee, how to register, and information about upcoming forums or debates.
The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) encompasses Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas counties. The local league belongs to the state and national League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization devoted to helping members and fellow citizens develop educated political opinions and act upon them through the democratic process.
