LUHS axes district-wide employee pay increase

Employees at the Lakeland Union High School district will not see a pay increase for all district employees after a motion to that effect failed 8-1 following the LUHS board of education’s discussion on the second draft budget.

“The first draft of the budget had a total deficit of all funds of $447,875, and the Fund 10 deficit was $587,000,” business and finance manager Greg Kopp said. “The second draft has a total all-fund deficit of $78,000 with a Fund 10 deficit of $217,000.”
