Timber Ridge Golf Club will host the annual T-Bird Classic Golf Outing on Saturday, Aug. 24 to support athletics at Lakeland Union High School.
Since established in 2014, the outing has raised more than $54,000, which has been used to purchase equipment and uniforms for each LUHS athletic program. Due to anticipated budget cuts, this year’s fundraiser is essential to support LUHS athletics, activities and arts at a level the students deserve.
Entry will be $75 per person or $300 for a four-person team. The event will begin a 9 a.m. shotgun start and will be an 18-hole, four-person scramble which includes golf, cart, range balls, awards, prizes and a luncheon provided after the round. There will also be individual hole prizes and several raffles.
Hole sponsorship levels include gold for $1,000, silver for $500, bronze for $250 and $100. At a minimum sponsorship includes a sign at a hole or on the putting green and recognition at the event.
Last year the event attracted many sponsors and 88 golfers while raising $13,000 to support the LUHS athletics department.
“This year we’ve set a goal of 120 or more golfers, more nice prizes and plenty of good times for all,” the release states. “If you prefer to donate an item from your business, we would gladly accept it and place it in the raffle. Raffle items can be dropped off at LUHS or we can arrange to pick it up.”
Checks for hole sponsorship or entry into the event can be made payable to LUHSDF, with “LUHS Golf Outing” in the memo line. Checks can be sent to LUHSDF, P.O. Box 1268, Minocqua, WI 54548.
