Gallery will be entirely online
The Manito Art League’s 2020 Art Show will take place as an Online Art Gallery, opening on July 16 and providing all the same benefits as the in-person show, normally held each summer at the Manitowish Waters Community Center, plus more.
Artists are encouraged to submit their artwork to this online art show, as it will be highly promoted and is expected to have many more visitors to view the art than ever before. Deadline for entry is June 30.
The entry fee is $30 and full proceeds of the sales go to the artists. Manito Art League members may submit up to three works of art, and non-members may submit up to two. And no one needs to leave home to participate. Complete guidelines and a simple fill-in-the-blanks entry form can be found on manitoartleague.org.
The show will be judged and eight cash awards will be presented to the winning artists, totaling $1,350. Award winners will be highlighted and recognized on the site on the day it opens, July 16.
Each entry will be featured in the full gallery and displayed alone on a dedicated web page featuring details of the work, an artist’s statement, and contact links so buyers can contact the artist directly, with one click.
Other features include a silent auction, scholarship awards, People’s Choice Award voting, door prize drawing, and special recognition of patrons for their support of the arts.
The Manito Art League is an organization dedicated to the development and appreciation of the arts. With over 80 members, the Manito Art League provides regular workshops and events open to the public, and features a fine-art show every July, celebrating “Great Art in Our Great Northwoods.”
