Marshfield Clinic contributes to Northwoods United Way
February 11, 2020
Physicians and staff in Marshfield Clinic’s northern region completed their annual fundraising effort generating over $5,800 in contributions to the Northwoods United Way. This total included a $5,000 donation from Marshfield Clinic Health System’s administration.
“Our Clinic staff repeatedly contribute generously to programs and causes that touch our hearts,” said Rachelle Tuyls, assistant manager, Marshfield Clinic Primary Care, coordinator of this year’s fundraising campaign. “The money we donate stays right here to help our own communities. By donating our time and money to the Northwoods United Way campaign, we all help agencies that work to provide needed services to individuals and families living in our communities.”
United Way believes investing in the community is an important responsibility, said Nancy Sattler, executive director, Northwoods United Way.
“When you give to United Way your return on investment means more children receiving a quality education, more families with enough income to remain independent and more seniors with the supports they need for healthy aging,” Sattler said.
United Way helps fund many agencies and programs vital to the health and well-being of people in northern Wisconsin.
“We are very grateful for organizations like the Marshfield Clinic that support the United Way year after year,” said Sattler. “Without the generous assistance from everyone in our communities, many programs and services supported by United Way would simply not be available to help our neighbors in their times of greatest need.”
