Mercer Butternut Pioneer Golf Scramble Fundraiser held

The Mercer Butternut football team held its annual fundraiser golf scramble on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Tahoe Lynx Golf Course in Mercer. The 1 p.m. shotgun start found 12 teams vying for honors. Two teams won overall honors as well as winning their category.    

The men’s team of Gil, Bub, and Phillip Chapman and Ken “Nemo” Neimeyer and the mixed team of Dick and Carol Fryar, Kelly Kohegyi, and Roger Hinterthuer both scored 5 under par, 30. 

The hole event winners were #1, longest drive, men, Leroy Trotterchaud;, #2, longest putt, women, Pat Wonderling; #3 closest 2nd shot, Ken “Nemo” Neimeyer; #4, longest putt, men, Shawn Heckendorf; #5, closest 2nd shot, Sam Berndt; #6, closest to pin, Mike Guild; #7, closest 2nd shot, Dave Niehoff; #8, longest drive, women, Sandra Hiller; #9, closest to pin, Gil Chapman.  

50/50 was won by Jon Jorgensen and the Smart TV was won by Sally Begalle. Other raffle winners were Larry Linsmeyer, Gloria Cobb, Carol Fryar, Shawn Heckemdprg. Mary Klopatek; Randy Smart, Ken “Nemo” Neimeyer, and Pete Pritzl.
