Minocqua Duplicate Bridge Club hosts New Member Welcome Party on Nov. 4

November 01, 2019

The Minocqua Duplicate Bridge Club invites those new to duplicate and duplicate players who are not members of the Minocqua club to a Welcoming Party on Nov. 4 and again on Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m. The parties will be held at the Legion Hall, 121 Front Street, Minocqua. A light lunch will be served.

This is an opportunity for current and new players to get acquainted. Members of the club will be available to answer questions. Stay and play for free or just observe. The duplicate game will begin at 12:30 p.m. ACBL membership is not necessary to play. For those who would like to join the game but need a partner, contact Jo Zickert at 715-356-6303.

The Minocqua Duplicate Bridge Club is a sanctioned with the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) and master points are awarded at weekly games, per guidelines, to ACBL members. Even new players can obtain master points as their scores are compared to others of similar skill level. Duplicate bridge is fun, challenging, rewarding, and a great place to develop new friendships. The normal $3 weekly fee is waived for first time players.

The club is switching to a daytime game starting at 12:30 p.m., November through April. After Oct. 28 there will no longer be a Monday evening game until spring.
