Minocqua Library presents ‘Island Soles’ fitness walking group

For those who have vowed to get more exercise in 2020, the Minocqua Public Library is starting a fitness walking group, Island Soles. As an alternative to navigating icy sidewalks and snowy roads, participants have the opportunity to walk and participate in some easy toning exercises in the safety and comfort of the community gym.
There will be music, exercise stations, socialization, and of course walking. No membership is required; just a pair of walking shoes and the desire to improve physical and mental well-being.
Island Soles will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 14 to March 19. The group is open to all and there is no fee or obligation.
