North Lakeland Discovery Center partially reopens

July 03, 2020

A recent press release has announced the North Lakeland Discovery Center is partially open. In consultation with the executive director, the Discovery Center Board, the Vilas County Health Department, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the Discovery Center will maintain partially open facilities through July. At the end of the month, safety procedures will be re-evaluated for the month of August.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, out of an abundance of caution, and with respect for members, visitors, and staff, the office, Nature Center, and restrooms are currently closed.

The Center offers a wide variety of online programs, and some outdoor programs with safe social distancing procedures in place as well. The 12 miles of trails at the Discovery Center are open from dawn to dusk.

A doorbell has been installed at the office to best serve guests while practicing safe distancing. For more information, call 715-543-2085 , email [email protected] or visit https://discoverycenter.net.
