Northwoods Wildlife Center 2020 Photography Contest entries now being accepted

January 03, 2020

Help wildlife in need by sharing photos for the Northwoods Wildlife Center’s 2020 Photography Contest, now accepting entries. Submit photos in six categories: North American Wildlife, Naturescapes, Bugs and Blooms, Pets, Youth Photographers (ages 17 and under), and, new this year, People in Nature. Winners of each category will be selected by those who attend and vote at the Northwoods Wildlife Center Photo Gala from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at the Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua. Winners will be announced the week following the event.

Entries may be submitted in two ways — printed or electronically. Printed entries may be mailed or delivered to: Northwoods Wildlife Center, 8683 S. Blumenstein Road, Minocqua, WI 54548. Physical entry fee is $10 per photograph. Photos must be printed in 8x10-inch size with white or cream 11x14-inch mat, and must have the photographer’s name, address, email, and phone number on back, as well as photo category and title. Entries may also be entered electronically through Northwoods Wildlife Center’s website at northwoodswildlifecenter.org. Electronic entries are $20 per photograph and must be cropped to 8x10 aspect ratio prior to entry. To enter, click the “enter online” banner on the Northwoods Wildlife Center website, northwoodswildlifecenter.org. All entries due by Feb. 14, 2020.

This is an amateur contest, participants must make no more than 25% annual income through photography. No framed photos or photos with writing on front will be accepted. Entries will be available for pickup at the Center in June 2020. Northwoods Wildlife Center retains the right to use submitted photographs for marketing and promotional purposes.
