NTSB issues factual report on 2018 Spirit Air crash

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its “aviation accident factual report” on the helicopter crash on April 26, 2018, in the town of Hazelhurst that killed three people. 

Three Spirit Air employees — pilot Rico Caruso, 34, flight nurse Klint Mitchell, 30 and flight paramedic Greg Rosenthal, 43 — died in the crash. 

The 12-year-old, single engine Airbus Eurocopter AS350 B2 was owned and operated by Air Methods Corporation.
