One dead in Schoepke accident

One man died Tuesday morning after he was struck by car in the town of Schoepke. 

According to a press release from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was received at approximately 7:30 reporting a vehicle crash on County Highway B near Meister Stockley Road. 

The driver, Nevaeh Roy, 16, Summit Lake, called and stated she went off the road and hit a tree and in the process, sustained head and foot injuries. 

The press release stated a second 911 call was received reporting the car, a 2010 Subaru Impreza, had also struck a male subject, 65-year-old Larry Badgley. Badgley passed due to injuries sustained from the impact on the scene. 

Roy was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital. 

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Fire District Alpha, the Monico Fire Department, Oneida County Ambulance and the Medical Examiner’s Office. The Wisconsin Stated Patrol will be completing an accident reconstruction and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office will be completing the accident report.
