Oneida County Social Services Committee all in favor of CVSO Act

Winkler: ‘This just strikes me as odd that it hasn’t been done before’

The Oneida County Social Services Committee voted June 23 in helping U.S Senator Tammy Baldwin to combat the veteran suicide crisis.

The committee met with Jason Dailey, from the Oneida County Veterans Services, to discuss the Commitment to Veteran Support and Outreach (CVSO) Act.

The CVSO Act is designed to expand community-based outreach to help veterans better access services that promote health and wellness. The efforts are to prevent a growing number of veteran suicides.
