Pig in the Pines set for Aug. 2 and 3

Join in the fun at Pig in the Pines: Bacon, BBQ & Bands at the St. Germain Community Park on Aug. 2 and 3. Friday and Saturday will be loaded with family fun activities, local and state wide entertainment and a great variety of food. New this year there will be a variety of food vendors, not just barbecue, but also Mexican and Greek along with the ever-popular St. Germain Lions Club Corn Roast.



Bacon Dash

Friday evening kicks off with our Bacon Dash sponsored by Jones Dairy Farm, a 5K trail run/walk followed by a concert under the starts with Madison County, back by popular demand. Leinenkugel’s is the proud sponsor of the Adult Race and Sparkling Ice is the proud sponsor of the Kids Race. 

This 5K trail run/walk will start and finish at the Pig in the Pines Festival grounds and can be as competitive or as casual of an event as desired. The run/walk is open to all ages and ability levels and proceeds from the Dash will be shared with the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club. 

Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, and the race begins at 6 p.m.

Bacon will be served to all racers after the race, cooked on “The Big Green Egg” from JJ Acres. Entrance fee into the Bacon Dash is $30 for adults, $20 for 14 and under and $70 for a family (includes two adults and two under 14) and includes a commemorative T-shirt and entrance into the park grounds Friday for Pig in the Pines.

Pig in the Pines

Daily tickets for Pig in the Pines are $5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and $10 after 3 p.m. Tickets to get in to Pig in the Pines can be purchased at the Entrance Gate. VIP tickets for Friday and Saturday night’s concerts are $30 or for both days $50 and can be purchased at the Chamber Office, open Monday through Saturday, or on the Chamber website www.St-Germain.com. 

VIP tickets include entrance into Pig in the Pines, lawn seating in front of the stage (bring a blanket or chair), VIP restroom, VIP beverage tent and a chance to win a Meet and Greet session with Madison County on Friday or Zac Matthews Band on Saturday. 

Free commemorative Pig in the Pines BBQ Luggage Tags are available to the first 250 paid entrants each day.

• 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. BBQ, ribs, food and beer

• 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bret & Frisk

• Noon to 7 p.m. Free kids games and inflatables

• 3 to 6 p.m. Sons of Legend

• 6 p.m. Bacon Dash begins

• 6:30 to 10 p.m. Madison County  

Saturday’s events:

• 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. BBQ, ribs, food and beer

• 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jim Pekol Polka Band

• Noon to 7 p.m. Free  kids games and inflatables

• 3 to 6 p.m. Country Wide Rocks

• 6:30 to 10 p.m. The Zac Matthews Band
