Writer and poet, Adrienne Jaeger will hold four sessions of her poetry workshop, “The Possibilities of Poetry,” at Land O’ Lakes Arts (LOLA) on Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 25 and 27, and March 3 and 5. This workshop will explore a variety of poetic forms, styles, and tools for the writer’s toolbox.
Participants can expect writing exercises to prompt poetic exploration and/or new work. Jaeger holds an M.F.A. in poetry from the University of Southern Maine-Stonecoast and B.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing from St. Norbert College.
Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each day in the upstairs classroom. Cost of this adult workshop is $195. Deadline to register is Thursday, Feb. 13.
Violin and viola music lessons for all ages and all levels of experience are now offered. Musician Beth Hassler will teach lessons every Thursday starting March 5, until June 18. One-hour lessons, 45-minute lessons, or half hour lessons are available between 3:30 to 6 p.m. each Thursday.
Students can take the full 16-week, semester course or choose to take private lessons with Hassler. Hassler has been playing professionally for the past 20 years. She has a master's of music degree in viola performance, is a Suzuki method teacher, and has a teaching license for K-12 music education. Deadline for registration is Thursday, Feb. 27.
