Retro rewind: ‘Jaws’ still scaring audiences today

The term “greatest of all time” doesn’t get thrown around too often. It’s saved for the best of the best. In 1975, one of the greatest movies of all time premiered and busted the block.

“Jaws” came out on June 20, 1975 and featured Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton. 

It was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Howard Sackler, Carl Gottlieb and Peter Benchley.

“Jaws” is about a great white shark terrorizing a local beach....
