September Children’s Events at the Minocqua Public Library

The children’s department at the Minocqua Public Library has some fun events planned for the month of September and throughout the fall.  

On Saturday, Sept. 21, stop by the library between 1 and 3 p.m. for Tabletop Gametime. Choose from a variety of board games, card games and puzzles, or bring one. Recommended for school aged children.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, the library will host its’ first Maker Night of the fall. See what you and your family can make together using a variety of supplies from the library’s Maker Cart. This month’s theme will be “toilet paper tubes.” Recommended for school aged children.

Wednesday morning StoryTime will run from Sept. 18 to Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. with the exception of Oct. 9 and Nov. 27. Come enjoy books, music, finger plays, flannel stories and more. StoryTime is for children ages 2-6 with their caregivers.   

• Wiggle, Giggle and Shake (formerly Music Garden), offers music and movement activities for preschoolers and their families. This program will run every Thursday at 10 a.m., with the exceptions of Nov. 28 and Dec. 26. 

For more information about these programs or about the library, call 715-356-4437. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
