South Beach Chamber Ensemble in Minocqua on July 26

July 23, 2019

The South Beach Chamber Ensemble will be performing at St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Minocqua, at 7 p.m. on July 26.

The South Beach Chamber Ensemble started in 1997 with a performance of Haydn and Dvorak Piano Trios at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. In 2006, they performed their first chamber music festival in Wausau, the hometown of their executive artistic director, Michael Andrews.

Since then, North Central Wisconsinites who love the chamber music eagerly await the annual summer arrival.

Sheena Gutierrez on violin, Michael Andrews on cello, and Rie Tanaka on piano will perform Robert Schumann’s Piano Trio in F major, and Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor.

A reception will follow the program. There is no cost for the concert, but a free will offering will be received to offset expenses.
