St. Germain Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 9

November 08, 2019

The St. Germain Community Center will be filled with holiday excitement from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 as the Christmas Bazaar offers shoppers a chance to find just the right gift for all those on their holiday list. This event is a joint effort by many local organizations to raise funds for various community projects.

Local youth groups now have the opportunity to apply for funding opportunities to help with activities, registration fees or operating costs associated with their organization. Several groups have been selected for the 2019 craft show proceeds, adding to the other groups who also benefited earlier this year.

Crafters from around the state will feature hand-crafted items such as folk art, jewelry, doll clothes, candles, ornaments, lamps, and more.

The Holiday Gourmet Gift Corner will include goat cheese, dips and fresh artisan bakery by Hillbilly Hollow, wine and cranberry products from Lake Nokomis Cranberries, and specialty dip mixes available from Gourmet Dip Kits. Everyone will have an opportunity to sign up for some very special door prizes and get in on the raffle buckets too.

The Women’s Service Club and the Sayner-St.Germain Fish & Wildlife Club will again host a bake sale with homemade cookies, pies, breads, bars, and traditional holiday candies. The bakery sells out fast.

New this year is the Stuff-N-Luv Create-n-Animal Workshop. Kids can purchase the animal of their choice and stuff it right on the spot.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. handing out treats for the children and gathering wish lists for Christmas this year. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras to capture special Holiday moments to share with family and friends.

For more information on how a group may be considered for future event proceeds, contact Lois Ruediger at 715-542-2881.
