St. Germain Women’s Service Club Fall Luncheon and Style Show a huge success

October 11, 2019

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the St. Germain Women’s Service Club hosted their 41st annual Fall Luncheon and Style Show. This year, the event was held at the Lake of the Torches Conference Center in Lac du Flambeau.

Guests and members enjoyed a delicious luncheon, and many door prizes, basket raffles, silent auctions and cash raffles were featured. After lunch, all enjoyed a style show, with club members modeling fashions from several local boutiques.

The Fall Luncheon and Style Show is one of three major fundraisers for the club, which supports many local charities and non-profits, including The Howard Young Foundation, St. Germain Fire and Rescue, Caritas of Eagle River, The Vilas County Food Pantry and several area libraries. Additionally, the club awards college scholarships each year to local students. The other major fundraisers are The Cookie Sale at the St. Germain Holiday Bazaar in November, and The Chicken Dinner in April.

The club members meet monthly, for socialization, lunch and a speaker, at The St. Germain Community Center. New members are always welcome. To join, call Sandy, at 715-542-4538, or Cookie, at 715-222-2758.
