St. Germain Women’s Service Club meets Nov. 19
November 15, 2019
The St. Germain Women’s Service Club will hold its November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the St. Germain Town Hall, at the intersection of Hwys. 70 and 155 in St. Germain. Social hour will be at 11 a.m., with luncheon served at noon, followed by a business meeting and a special presentation.
This month’s guest speaker will be Joelle Wennlund, M.D., women’s health specialist at Ascension Healthcare in Rhinelander and Woodruff, who will explain the various health care needs and services unique to women, and answer questions from club members.
At this meeting, donations will be given to many local charities and organizations who will benefit from the Women’s Club’s fundraising efforts over the past year.
Interested parties are always welcome to attend; make reservations before Friday, Nov. 15, by calling Cookie, at 715-222-2758.
The St. Germain Women’s Service Club’s 50 or more members meet on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May, for fellowship and education. Each year, they contribute to local charities and community programs and provide several scholarships for local college students. They raise funds through their annual Chicken Dinner each April, the Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon each October, and the Christmas Cookie Sale at the St. Germain Holiday Bazaar, each November.
