The Happy Hatters meets Nov. 27

November 26, 2019

The Happy Hatters, a group of knitters and crocheters, which meets monthly to make hats and lap blankets for newborns and patients at local hospitals, will meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at The Vilas County Economic Development Office, 348 W Pine St, Eagle River, WI 54521 (formerly The Flour Sack).

Happy Hatters have made and distributed more than 400 hats and lap blankets to local hospitals; they’ve expanded their efforts to include other knitting and crocheting projects of interest to their members. They meet on the last Wednesday morning of each month. The Happy Hatters is an offshoot of The St. Germain Women’s Service Club.

All interested knitters, crocheters, or kibitzers are welcome to join this group. Instruction and yarn will be provided as needed. Socialization and productivity are of equal importance, and new friends are always welcome.

Call Bonnie Kegley at 715-477-0306 with any questions.

Note that the December meeting of The Happy Hatters will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18, rather than on Christmas Day.
