Two vehicle collision

December 20, 2019

There were no injuries as the result of a two vehicle collision Saturday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and West Park Street in Minocqua. According to the Minocqua police report, the driver of the 2015 Jeep Patriot, James Serowka ll, 29, Oakwood, Ill., was in the northbound left lane of Hwy. 51 when a vehicle in front of him, a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Anthony Pogodinzki, 78, Minocqua, had its left turn signal suddenly activated. Pogodinzki told police he planned to make a left turn onto West Park Street when his vehicle was struck in the driver’s door by the Serowka vehicle. Serowka told police he knew he wasn’t going to be able to stop his Jeep in time. He swerved to avoid rear-ending the F-150, that turned and collided with his Jeep which then hit a street light.
