Continuing to focus on broadening the scope of the economic and growth opportunities offered by Vilas County, the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation (VCEDC) was recently featured in a several-page article for national magazine Business in Focus.
The full-color, 6-page article is now available from VCEDC as a handout.
“Approximately three months ago, we were contacted by Business In Focus Magazine, who wanted to do an article on what makes Vilas County attractive to technology and informational professionals along with entrepreneurs,” VCEDC executive director Bob Egan noted.
The article highlights the broadband opportunities attractive to businesses as well as the natural setting — attempting to appeal to those looking for a start of continuation of work among a wooded and water paradise.
Business in Focus reaches 468,000 industry leaders all across North America each month, including those in manufacturing, technology, food and beverage, health care, logistics, finance, resource and construction, Egan relayed.
“We hope to draw attention of even a few new businesses to Vilas County,” Egan said. “If we could convince 1% or 87 of these business leaders to show an interest in relocating to Vilas County, that would be amazing … Eight businesses to relocate in Vilas County, that would be considered a huge success.”
VCEDC most recently met for their monthly gathering today in Phelps. Their next meeting is Sept. 13 at UW-Trout Lake Station.
