January 17, 2020

The Vilas County Democratic Party will host a public presentation and discussion on candidate and legislative proposals for fixing the broken health care payment system. Rob Milburn, 1st vice chair, and George Prudent will facilitate this public event. It will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the new Vilas County Democratic Party Headquarters at 714 Elm St., Woodruff, WI (Good Vibes building).

Information will be presented on the myriad problems associated with the current patchwork system, what an ideal system would look like, the wide range of proposed solutions, and then open the discussion up to viewpoints and questions from attendees. The goal is to answer questions such as “What is a Public Option?”; “What is Medicare For All?”; “What is Medicare For All Who Want It?”; “What is Balance Billing?” and enable the participants to make informed choices during the upcoming elections.
