Vilas County Highway Committee approves Hwy. B change orders

Changes add over $111,000, but project still under budget

In February, the Vilas County board’s highway committee approved a bid of just over $4.3 million from Pitlik & Wick for a project that will revitalize nearly 20 miles of County Highway B.

It covers county road running from U.S. Highway 45 northwest to Palmer Lake Road and then from Hwy. M to Crab Lake Road in Presque Isle. 

Work on the project, which includes 29 culverts and 5,000 lineal feet of guard rail, began April 20.
