Vilas County passes resolution regarding ‘problem’ wolves

Alleman: ‘It may be taken seriously or may go into the circular file’

The management by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) of the wolf population was on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Vilas County board. 

The board approved a resolution opposing the relocation of “problem wolves into Vilas County.”

According to the resolution’s wording, the gray wolf population as increased to at least 950 as of April, 2019.
