Visit Ironwood’s annual Jack Frost Festival this winter season

The Jack Frost Festival festivities in Ironwood, Mich., includes a wide-ranging series of community events covering the arts, outdoor sports, and an all-around celebration of things wintertime. Some ongoing events have already begun, while others happen over the course of the next couple of months. 

Featured events are as follows:

Dec. 6: Frost Friday. NoEL Holiday craft Market at Historic Ironwood Theatre from 5 to 7 p.m. Downtown stores will be open late and carolers will be strolling through town. Winners of the Window Decorating Contest will be announced.

Dec. 7: NoEL Holiday craft Market at Historic Ironwood Theatre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be at River Valley (Incredible) Bank from 3 to 5 p.m. The Jack Frost Festival of Lights Parade will take place at 6 p.m.

Dec. 14: Historic Ironwood Christmas Show at 7 p.m.

Dec. 15: Historic Ironwood Christmas Show at 2 p.m.

Dec. 22: Big Top Chautauqua’s Blue Canvas Orchestra Christmas at 4 p.m.

Jan. 4 and 5: Snowmobile Olympus and TRL Race at Ironwood Gogebic County Fairgrounds.

Jan. 11: SISU Nordic Ski Festival. See www.sisuskifest.com.

Jan. 25: “Light Up the Night” Christmas Tree Bonfire, Ironwood’s Norrie Amateur Sports Club at 7 p.m.
