Volunteers provide prayer shawls at Howard Young Medical Center

September 01, 2020

Although volunteers are not present at area hospitals during this time of social distancing, their presence remains strong through their support in providing prayer shawls for patients at Howard Young Medical Center, part of Ascension.

Volunteers from Holy Family Catholic Church and Howard Young Medical Center have and continue to support the prayer shawl ministry and recently delivered a newly crafted batch to Howard Young Medical Center Associate Chaplain Jen Davison.

“Our community and hospital volunteers continue to make a meaningful difference to patients that share their appreciation for the spiritual support they represent,” said Laurie Oungst, chief administrative officer at Howard Young Medical Center.
