‘Who Gets Grandma’s Pie Plate’ on Nov. 16 at Minocqua Library

November 15, 2019

Ever wonder who would want, or appreciate, a lifetime collection of cherished treasures and possessions? What about that lovely vase that’s been in the family for more than 60 years? Or, grandpa’s classy golf clubs that have served him well for many rounds. Or, the sterling silver pieces that were wedding gifts?

Passing on personal possessions is an issue for everyone — spouses, adult children, siblings and grandchildren.

“Who Gets Grandma’s Pie Plate” will take place 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Minocqua Public Library.

This free informational community program is designed to help families prepare to deal with the personal property and belongings of loved ones. Professionals will be available to answer questions. This is an opportunity to learn how to begin the conversation or how to continue those important conversations with family.

A Pie Social will be taking place during the event. A piece of pie and a cup of coffee may be just the place to begin a conversation with siblings or parents. Free-will offerings will be accepted for the Pie Social.

There will also be whole, freshly baked pies for sale to the public at this event.

All donations will benefit the Generations Community Center building fund. For more information, call 715-892-4437.
