‘Wi-does’ Wine Walk in Eagle River on Nov. 23

The Eagle River Business Association, in conjunction with the Eagle River Main Street Program, is hosting an enjoyable afternoon of shopping and wine sampling in downtown Eagle River, during the 3rd annual “Wi-Doe’s Wine Walk” from 1 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Explore what Eagle River shops have to offer while enjoying a sampling of hand-picked wines. Each participant will receive a wine tasting glass and will have the opportunity to sample up to 15 of the over 30 wine options at participating businesses. Following the event will be an after party at Buckshots, 207 E. Wall St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. The drawing for prizes will happen at 6 p.m.

Attendees will be given an event brochure describing each of the wines available along with a map of all the Wine Stops — the participating businesses. Also receive a bundle of coupons to use at each of the Wine Stops and be entered into a drawing to win one of several prize packs of gift certificates as well as a grand prize valued over $100. Additional entries into this drawing can be obtained by making a purchase at a participating businesses during the event. 

Tickets can be purchased for $25 in advance from Arrow Gift Shop, Fredrick’s Corner Shoppe, and mBank of Eagle River.  Tickets can also be purchased online at www.eagleriverbiz.biz.   Tickets may be available on the day of event if the maximum number of 200 is not met yet. New this year is a Designated Driver ticket for $10. The DD ticket is available the day of event only.   

Event check in on the day of the event is at The VFW, 418 W. Pine Street, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Turn in a Wine Walk ticket in exchange for a goodie bag consisting of: the event flyer of Wine Stops (participating businesses) with wine descriptions, wine glass and valuable coupons.
